Coldridge Community BBQ and Games Afternoon – Sunday 9th August

Everyone is invited to a Community BBQ and Games Afternoon to be hosted at Oak Farm (courtesy of Chris and Margaret Burrows) on Sunday 9th August from 12 noon. Further information is provided in this post’s image below…

If you’re new to the area here’s how to find the location:

Travelling along the B3220 towards Winkleigh from Coldridge, turn left at the Taw Bridge junction (by large farmhouse) and head up the lane in the direction of North Tawton. The entrance to the picnic field will be marked on the left hand side of the lane, a short distance past the entrance to Banksland Farm located on the right.

Coldridge Village Hall – Pontoon Football New Season Draw 2026/27

With the 2026 World Cup just done, thoughts now quickly turn to the teams and players in our English leagues as we close in on the start of the 2026/27 football season on Friday 14th August!!

Our Football Pontoon adjudicator Ian Taylor will be ready to explain the details for 2026/27 and oversee your team selections from 7.30pm from his ‘table of dreams’ at the Coldridge Arms.

This will be the third year of running this popular competition and it’s hoped that as many of you as possible can ‘sign-up’ as Team Managers. Remember half of the funds paid in each month are returned to the monthly winner(s), the remainder helping us run and maintain our special village hall.

If you have any advanced questions please contact Ian directly by mobile or email at ianttaylor63@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday 14th!

Welcome to the new Coldridge Village Hall website!

On behalf of the Coldridge Village Hall Committee I am pleased to announce the launch of our new Village Hall Website – www.coldridgevillagehall.org.uk .

This website is intended provide a ‘shop window’ for all things relating to Coldridge Village Hall, with information about the hall, the groups who use it, its facilities, Village Hall events and the services available to Coldridge residents.

The Coldridge Village Hall website is intended to run alongside the monthly Coldridge Calendar, our “What’s on in Coldridge Devon” Facebook community page and the Coldridge Parish Website.

The website is newly constructed and as such, like housetraining a new puppy, there may be a few initial upsets or desirable improvements that could be made. So, if you have a moment in the coming days please grab a ‘hot beverage’, click-on the new Village Hall link and have a look around the site. If there’s something you’re not sure about, or if you would like to share any observations or suggestions for improvements please drop me a line at cvhwadmin@coldridgevillagehall.org.uk.

My thanks to the Village Hall Committee Officers, our Village Hall User Group representatives and other content providers for their support and assistance in getting us here today.
