Women’s Institute – June 2026

We are going up a gear in June when Colin Andrews from Winkleigh Morris will be telling us about the history of Morris dancing and will be accompanied by some of the Winkleigh Morris side to demonstrate some moves. We will also be encouraged to give it a go… Just don’t be tempted to say ‘pull the other one’ as it will probably have bells on. Find out more on Wednesday, 10th June at 7.30pm in the Village Hall about this quintessentially English tradition.

New members are always welcome or come as a guest (£3 – women only). Meetings are held (with the odd exception) on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. Subjects range from charities and local interest groups, cookery demonstrations and craft workshops to the arts and wellbeing. Look out for more information on the village socials.
